Designers Slay Dapperq’s NYFW Runway

Designers Slay Dapperq’s NYFW Runway

This past Thursday, DapperQ was invited to host a queer fashion runway show as part of this year’s New York’s Fashion Week. Titled iD, the runway show took place at the Brooklyn Museum, and featured 7 designers and over 60 models wearing the latest in queer fashion. This being their third consecutive year in row, securing a consistent place in one of the biggest mainstream fashion events of the year is nothing short of incredible. DapperQ really has shown how committed they are to working to provide the LGBTQ+ community with a space for representation, exploration, and formation of our rich identities by organizing a large scale event of this magnitude. In showcasing queerness and diversity in style and fashion, we as queer folks are able to come together, be seen, create, and share with each other. As the industry expands, events like this serve as fantastic opportunities for our community to use art to push for the sociopolitical change we require.

Here’s a highlight reel of the event courtesy of our friends at Candidready Photography.
